This CD called Close to the Ocean is a carefully selected compilation of Cape Breton fiddle music - fourteen groups of tunes in all; total play time is 62 minutes; fiddle tunes with a “salty ” flavor; and many tunes never before recorded! The music has been garnished form old songs, tunes from “down north” dances in times now past, and new compositions seasoned with both haunting and lively bagpipe tunes from old Scotland.
